Real Reviews from Our Customers
“I started using (Closet) Core patterns years ago, and joined CREW a few years ago without looking back or ever questioning my decision. The patterns alone are worth the cost of membership. I'm an intermediate sewist and always learn new techniques or 'cleaner' techniques when using these patterns... The directions are very clearly written, and again, I love the thought behind the details in patterns."

“I'm a fairly new sewer and have only ever used the Big 4 sewing patterns and I was BLOWN away by how good the instructions were on this pattern... the step-by-step process was so helpful, and at no point did I feel lost.

“I have been sewing clothes for myself since I was a young teenager and I'm now 68, so I have used many different types and brands of patterns and I can say the Mitchell trouser pattern is the very best pattern I have ever used... I will definitely be choosing Closet Core patterns in the future and recommending them to my sewist friends."

“This is my 2nd Closet Core make, and once again I'm impressed with how well drafted the pattern is, how clear the instructions are, and that there's no skimping on finishing detail.

“The instructions are very good and the whole pattern is very complete, well-made and thorough. I definitely recommend this for people who want to make their own jeans, be it their first or a subsequent pair.

“This is my first Closet Core pattern and I am very pleased with the instructions, construction method, and final product! ... I can't wait to sew up a pair of pants (or several) now that I'm deeply in love with this pattern.

“The pattern was straight forward to sew, the instructions were clear... As usual, a very good quality sewing pattern 😀

FAQ
The last time I sewed with knit fabric was over 20 years ago; total disaster. When I saw the CC class, I immediately signed up. Loved every second; clear, precise instructions. I am so proud of my long sleeved t-shirt, I just ordered enough Luxe Organic Cotton Jersey Knit for four more in different colors.
Thank you, Heather and team.
I enjoy reading the histories of what people have made.
I have not yet sewn any of the pattern releases. The styles are too body-conscious and/or retro for my taste, but the instructional videos offer a lot of information I can take to other projects.
I've been tempted since the first year of Crew to become a member and took the plunge in January this year. It's been such a great 'club' to join! Sewing can be a bit of a solitary hobby but this online community is kind, supportive, helpful and so creative. The patterns are outstanding - clear instructions, impeccably drafted and so much support from the Closet Core team. I'm always inspired, even if I don't have as much time to sew as I'd like. I wish I'd signed up earlier!
This was my first purchase with you, and I will definitely be back for more. The ease of purchase, detail of instructions, and accuracy of the fit turned me into a huge fan. Can't wait for my next make (after I sew a second one of these dresses!)
This is an amazing class, a wealth of knowledge presented in a down-to-earth, fun way. I used to think I would save my money and research everything online myself, but I'm here to say that that only got me so far. Taking the class saved me many a mishap and has given me a window into some aspects of jeans and jeans making that I never would have thought to look up on my own. I know this because I worked on a pair before buying the class and ran into several of the issues that come up in the class. There are also timely reminders to take your time and enjoy the process, balanced with the wisdom that we don't need perfection in every single seam. I bought the class several months ago and made a successful pair of jeans right away. Recently I rewatched much of the class and am almost done with my second pair of jeans! Just hemming and rivets to go. I learned plenty even the second time through, gained some more confidence, and had a great time. It is truly a worthwhile investment if you want to make your own jeans, and - this might seem strange to say - but it's good for the soul too.
